While many of them have been gestating slowly for quite some time* before they get printed, I can generally pinpoint the birth of a design, and enjoy looking through my sketch pads and notebooks to see when it first started appearing: 'Mosquito' was definitely inspired by summer 2012 in a beautiful but bug-filled campsite on the Ile d'Oleron; 'Another Nice Day' was born out of my sarcastic weather reports after taking the kids to school during that long winter earlier this year; 'Spy Pigeon' I've blogged about previously - http://www.lostshapes.com/2/post/2013/03/theres-a-spy-amongst-us.html . So what will come of this summer's many British adventures? Thought I'd scrapbook the things that have got the little design part of my brain flashing recently, and see if they turn up in some distorted form later on a t-shirt. No copying please! *probably an average gestation period very similar to a hippo, which, surprisingly, is less than half the time of an elephant's. (Well, I was surprised - perhaps you know more about these things than I do).

NO MORE BLOGGINGI stopped writing this blog a while ago - social media just seems a more responsive way to share ideas these days (plus I never got 'round to it!). I'll leave these posts up for now for anyone who wants to get a bit more of a sense of what's behind what I do. Archives
