I'd always said I wasn't going to sell Lost Shapes through actual real shops unless I found the right one (various reasons including wanting the closer connection with customers, not wanting to eat into my relatively small profit margin, large amount needed to give a good range - but you don't need to know all that). But then a couple of months ago The Right One came along and made an offer - and so began a beautiful relationship with the Poot Emporium.
You can find out all about the background of Poot Emporium here:
https://www.facebook.com/PootEmporium - it was one of the first shops selling quality vintage clothing in Frome, Somerset - a town now known for its array of unusual vintage and artisan sellers. On the 1st September it re-opened as the Poot Emporium: 'a mini department store...where the collective energies of exciting designers, makers, collectors and personalities gather together to bring a whole new shopping experience to Frome's Catherine Hill.'
While I know that people come from far and wide to go shopping in Frome, and there's many a celebrity sighting, this is probably the most famous so far. It's Hunter S Thompson (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas). He seems quite engrossed in choosing just the right t-shirt from the selection to his left, which came as a bit of a surprise as a) he wouldn't strike me as a t-shirt type and b) he died 8 years ago. Guess he does look a bit pale...
